Creekstone Farms
The Creekstone Farms commitment is to treating our livestock with the utmost compassion and care has been long-standing. In fact, the cattle receiving facility was the first to be built from the ground up that adhered to the guidelines and design of the one and only:
Dr. Temple Grandin
Temple Grandin is an associate professor of animal science at Colorado State University and one of the leading experts on animal welfare.
Creekstone Farms holds an official certification from the Humane Farm Animal Care (HFAC) organization (https://certifiedhumane.org)
The Certified Humane certification is by no means easy to obtain. A series of stringent audits take place to ensure the animals are calm, relaxed, and well cared for throughout their entire lives. For example, cattle prods, cages, crates, and tie stalls are strictly prohibited. Animals must be free to do what comes naturally and their diet must be quality feed – no animal byproducts, antibiotics, or growth hormones are allowed.
Hand Selected Black Angus Cattle
Black Angus cattle have long been known to create beef that is tenderer with a superior flavor. Most Black Angus programs select their cattle solely on hide color. Our cattle are hand-selected to be the best of the best and represent true Black Angus genetics. Only 1 in 100 cattle represents the Creekstone Brand!
USDA Certification
The Creekstone Farms Premium Black Angus Beef program is one of the few branded programs certified by the USDA. This certification ensures superior products through more stringent guidelines and on-going inspections.
